What Are Nano Brows?
The most beautiful brows are the ones nobody can quite explain. They simply look like yours on their very best day.
Nano brows are a refined form of cosmetic tattooing, done with a machine and an ultra fine needle rather than a hand blade. I place pigment pixel by pixel, which gives you a soft edge and a remarkably fine line, so each stroke reads as real hair, even up close. Clients come to my studio in Minnetonka, just outside Minneapolis, from all over the Twin Cities.

The Nano Realism METHOD
The Eye
I can usually look at your face and see which shape will be the most flattering. I’ve always had a sense for what will just melt into your face.
The Map
I still go through all the mapping, so everything is measured precisely. But I never use a stencil. Your brows are drawn for you, and no one else.
The Color
My background is in fine art, from Minneapolis College of Art and Design, and I went to Aveda, where every color is custom mixed. Yours is made for your undertones.
The Hair
I place pigment pixel by pixel with an ultra fine needle, so each stroke reads as real hair, even up close. Your appointment is never rushed.
Who Are They For?
They’re a lovely fit if you’ve been filling in your brows every morning for years, if your brows are sparse or have thinned, or if you’ve been told your skin is too oily for microblading. Nano works beautifully on all skin types, including oily and mature skin.

Does it hurt? Most clients describe a mild scratching feeling. I use numbing cream during the session, and many people tell me they’re pleasantly surprised by how tolerable it is.
How They Heal
Right after: your brows will look darker than they’ll end up. This is completely normal, so please don’t panic!
Days 1 to 14: some flaking as the skin heals.
Weeks 4 to 6: the color settles into its true shade.
Weeks 8 to 12: your Perfecting Touch Up, where I refine every last detail.
For years to come: most clients are set for 2 to 4 years before they need a Color Boost. Your skin, sun and skincare all play a part, so I can’t promise an exact number.

Nano Brow Questions
How do I get ready?
A little prep helps your brows heal well. The big ones are to stop retinol at least 3 weeks before and finish any waxing at least 48 hours before. My full pre care guide walks you through everything, step by step.
Are nano brows better than microblading?
For most people, I think so. Microblading uses a hand blade and does best on normal to dry skin. Nano uses an ultra fine needle and works on more skin types. Here’s the longer version.
Can you do nano over my old microblading?
I don’t touch up another artist’s work, because adding pigment over old pigment can leave brows looking solid and ashy. About 99 percent of those clients start with laser. Send me your photos and I’d be happy to tell you what I’d do.
What is a Color Boost?
A Color Boost refreshes nano brows I’ve already done for you once they start to fade. It’s just for my own clients.
How far ahead can I book?
I release dates 90 days at a time. If nothing works for you, please join the waitlist and you’ll hear about new dates and last minute openings.
Where are you located?
You’ll find me inside Haven Beauty Collective at 14729 Excelsior Blvd, Minnetonka, just west of Minneapolis. Appointments run Tuesday through Friday, 9 to 5. I’d love to see you!
